Sagar sits on MPEZ — Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited — even though it is closer to Bhopal than to Jabalpur. That catches people out. Sagar is about 180 kilometres from our Bhopal base, but the Sagar revenue division falls under the eastern distribution company, whose head office is in Jabalpur, so your net-metering file is administered from there rather than from Bhopal. It is the single most common assumption we correct on a Sagar enquiry, and getting it wrong at the application stage costs weeks. The Sagar division also covers Chhatarpur, Damoh, Niwari, Panna and Tikamgarh, all on the same utility.
