These terms govern your use of this website. They are deliberately short on the things that do not matter and specific on the two that do: what the numbers on this site mean, and which document actually governs an installation.

The most important term on this page

Your installation is governed by the separate written agreement you sign with us — not by this website.

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. Prices, capacities, generation figures, savings estimates, subsidy amounts and timelines shown here are informational. Where anything on this site conflicts with your signed agreement, the signed agreement prevails, without exception.

If a page here says something you are relying on, get it into the agreement.

What the calculator and estimates actually are

This site publishes a savings calculator and a number of worked figures. They are models, and it is worth being precise about what that means.

The calculations are built on published, citable sources — the MPERC Retail Supply Tariff Order for FY 2026-27, the PM Surya Ghar operational guidelines issued by MNRE, MPERC's net-metering regulation RG-39(II) of 2024, and measured irradiance data. We cite these on the pages where their numbers appear, so you can check them rather than take our word.

But a model is not a promise:

• Generation depends on your specific site — orientation, tilt, shading, soiling, ambient temperature and weather in the particular year. Two identical systems on two roofs in the same city will not produce the same number.
• Tariffs change. MPERC issues a tariff order annually. Every tariff figure on this site names the financial year it belongs to for exactly this reason.
• Subsidy rules change. PM Surya Ghar's rates, conditions and period are set by MNRE and have been amended before. Eligibility is determined by the scheme and by your distribution company, not by us.
• Savings depend on your behaviour. How much you consume, and when, changes the result materially.

No figure produced by this site is a guarantee of savings, generation, payback or subsidy. A site survey exists to replace estimates with assessment, and a signed agreement exists to replace assessment with commitment.

Statutory timelines are the regulator's, not ours

This site sets out timelines your distribution company is bound by — the 15-day deemed-acceptance rule for rooftop solar applications, the deemed feasibility for systems up to 10 kW, the 30-day Letter of Approval, the 15 days to meter and commission after an installation certificate, and the ₹500 per day payable for unjustified delay.

These are obligations imposed on the licensee by MPERC's regulation. We describe them; we do not control them and we do not underwrite them. We will pursue them on your behalf as part of our scope, and we cannot promise that a third party will meet a deadline the regulator has set for it.

The same applies to subsidy disbursement, which is made by government to your bank account on government timelines.

Using this site

You may read, print and share anything on this site. In using it, you agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or to any account, system or data it connects to.
• Interfere with its operation, or attempt to disrupt or overload it.
• Scrape it in a manner that degrades service for others, or misrepresent its content as your own.
• Submit false information through its forms, or submit anyone else's personal details without their knowledge.
• Use it for anything unlawful.

Accounts, if you have one

Some parts of this site require you to sign in with your phone number and a one-time password. You are responsible for the security of the number that receives that password. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to your account.

We may suspend an account used in breach of these terms, or where suspension is necessary to protect other users or the service.

Comments and anything else you post

If you post a comment, you remain responsible for it. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, misleading, infringing, or containing another person's personal details. By posting, you give us permission to display it on the site and to remove it.

We moderate. Removal is not censorship of an opinion about us — we would rather publish a critical comment than lose the ability to be believed — but we will remove material that is unlawful or that puts someone's personal information in public.

Our content

The text, structured data, design, code, photographs, diagrams and downloadable documents on this site belong to Lakecity Solar Energy or are used with permission. You may share and print them for your own purposes, including comparing quotations.

You may not present them as your own work, republish them commercially, or use our name, marks or materials in a way that suggests we endorse or are associated with something we are not.

Where this site reproduces or summarises government or regulatory material — scheme guidelines, tariff schedules, regulations — that material belongs to its issuing authority. We have cited it so you can go to the original, and the original governs. If our summary and the source ever differ, the source is right and we want to know.

Links to other sites

We link to government portals, regulatory orders and distribution company websites because you may need them. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

Availability

We would like this site to be available all the time and cannot promise that it will be. It may be unavailable during maintenance, or for reasons outside our control.

Liability

We take care that what is published here is accurate and sourced. Regulations, tariffs and scheme rules do change, and pages can fall behind a change.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on this website's informational content — as distinct from our obligations under a signed agreement, which are set out in that agreement and are not limited by this page. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of this website.

Disputes about an installation are governed by the dispute-resolution provisions of your signed agreement. Billing disputes with your distribution company go to the Electricity Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of that DISCOM, which is a forum we can help you reach but cannot represent you in as of right.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. A change to this page never alters an agreement you have already signed.
