Your installed cost comes from the survey
What a system actually costs depends on your structure height, cable runs, roof access and the grade of module and inverter specified. We would rather quote you after seeing the roof than publish a number that changes once we do. The subsidy above is fixed regardless.
Solar does not make a bill zero. The fixed charge stays for as long as the connection does, and we would rather you heard that from us.
This figure holds electricity tariffs exactly where they are today. MPERC revises them every financial year and they have generally moved upward — if that continues, your real saving will be higher than shown. We would rather understate it than compound a guess into the headline.
The MNRE benchmark is the figure the government uses to calculate your subsidy — not a price list, and not a cap on what an installer may charge. Real quotes usually sit above it, because the benchmark does not account for structure height, cable runs, roof access, or the grade of module and inverter actually specified. Your subsidy is worked out from the benchmark regardless of what you pay.
Figures are MPERC energy + fixed charges. Electricity duty and cess are levied on top of these.
Sizing assumes the selected irradiance band. Savings use the official MPERC slab rates above, held flat, with 0.5% annual panel degradation assumed over 25 years. Degradation is a modelling assumption, not a published figure. Actual generation varies with site conditions — the survey produces the authoritative number.
